Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a Scientific Society of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), is primarily an R&D Institution involved in design, development of Advanced Electronics and Information Technology Solutions, including the celebrated PARAM series of Supercomputers. C-DAC has developed over a period of time a number of products/solutions and also established a number of labs in cutting edge technologies. With the R&D experience, C-DAC has created high quality intellectual resource in the form of an expert team with specialised knowledge of various facets of hardware and software technologies. In line with these R&D strengths, C-DAC offers post graduate diploma courses, in the areas such as Embedded Systems, Network Security, VLSI Design, System Software Development, Advanced Computing etc.

Diploma in Modern Software Development Essentials (DMSDE) Course is a new initiative from C-DAC focusing on emerging technologies and software security with equal emphasis on programming foundations to make the students suitable to work in IT industry from day one. Today, Cyber Security threats are majorly addressed reactively but by following proper Software Security practices we can build vulnerability free software and address this problem proactively. By incorporating security throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, we can proactively secure our information systems from cyber security threats. Cyber Security Research & Development team of C-DAC has designed unique course, Diploma in Modern Software Development Essentials (DMSDE), with an aim to make the students on par with the changing technologies and the requirements of IT industry.
Diploma in Modern Software Development Essentials (DMSDE) course focuses on Secure Software Development lifecycle. Software Security aspects are sewed into every module of the Course. Course focuses on Programming basics, Linux Internals, Network Programming, Software Security, Web & Java Technologies, Android Programming and Emerging Technologies such as Blockchain, Machine Learning, Big data etc. Project work would focus on solving Cyber Security problem using emerging technologies. This course would start from March 2018 and it is a full time course of 20 weeks.
The course is nicely planned which is relevant and well accepted by IT industry. Campus Placement Support will be provided to successfully completed students.
